We welcome you into our home the only one we've ever known excuse me but I can't get up to greet you this is our heaven this is our hell and you the warden of our cell we are the children of Ceacescu unto a dream we were born from hungry parents we were torn we were to build to make the future sweet please have more children our leaders asked then set them to their workers' task but no one said just what we were to eat through that window we once saw a bird it gave such joy those sounds we heard and we wondered what it is this thing you call living we don't know where we belong or what it is that we've done wrong we only hope one day we'll be forgiven a virus now runs through our veins and you, it seems, have lost the reins you've had your fun now we must pay the price it's too late now the harm's been done a year will end what you've begun and we'll spend it here amongst the vermin and the lice please cast your eyes along the lines of babies crying from their pain a sadder sight I know you've never seen there you see on the other side my naked brothers they try to hide for naked they are easier to clean you have the choice, to hide your face or take us from this deathly place then argue later who is to blame a few short months is all we ask some toys, some love, some sun, some grass or pass us by along the road to shame © NEMO JAMES.
